Irrawaddy
Also Irrawaddy, principal river of Myanmar (Burma), formed in
the north by the confluence of two rivers. The Irrawaddy is
about 2,010 km (1,250 mi) long. Branching into several mouths
that form an extensive delta, it empties into the Andaman Sea.
The Irrawaddy provides the main means of communication between
important points in the interior and southern port cities,
especially Rangoon. Mandalay is a port on the Irrawaddy. The
following itineraries are currently being offered. Please let us
know if you would like to receive additional information for any
of these programs. These are highly original travel programs
designed for the adventurous explorer on two newly renovated
river boats with 10 and 15 twin bed cabins. These are seasonal
programs with limited departures. Special charters for groups
can be negotiated.
