Yangon - Bago - Kyaikhtiyo (B/L/D)
After an early breakfast, drive via Bago to KIN PUN "base
camp" (194 km - 5 hrs) kyaikhtiyo, the Golden Rock, a huge
boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately
balanced on the edge of a cliff. Sightseeing around and
overnight near Kyaikhtiyo. |

03 |
Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon (B/L/D)
Return to Bago (110Km, three and half hours). Sightseeing in
Bago. Continue to Yangon (84Km, one and half hours). En route,
visit the Allied War Graves Cemetery near HTAUK KYAN and a tree
shrine dedicated to a legendary "Nats". Dinner and
overnight in Yangon. |

Yangon - Bagan by morning flight.

Transfer to Hotel and continue sightseeing. Popularly known as
the "city of four million pagodas" and one of the
richest archaeological sites in Asia. |

Bagan - Mt. Popa - Meikhtila- Mandalay

Overland drive (300Km,
eight hours) to MANDALAY. En route visit of Mt. Popa, An extinct
volcano. Continue to MEIKHTILA, with stop for lunch at a local
restaurant en route. Continue to Mandalay, a scenic journey of
varied agricultural landscapes and small villages. Arrival in
Mandalay late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Mandalay. |

Mandalay - Amarapura - Monywa (B/L/D)
Transfer to Amarapura, 15 Km from Mandalay. Sightseeing around
Amarapura. Lunch is followed by a drive to MONYWA (150Km, four
hours) with visit to charming rural village specialized in the
manufacture of lacqueware. Dinner and overnight in a simple
hotel with basic facilities. |

Monywa - Phowin Taung - Monywa -
Mandalay (B/L/D)
Cross the CHINDWIN RIVER by ferry boat and proceed 45 Km to
PHOWIN TAUNG, a seldom visited compels of cave temples and
shrines, some dating back to 15th century and containing about
450,000 Buddha images and some very fine mural paintings. Return
to MONYWA. After lunch visit the incredibly ornate THAMBUDDHE
TEMPLE, built from the dream designs of a noted monk. Drive back
to MANDALAY. Dinner and overnight in Mandalay. |

Mandalay - Inwa - Sagaing - Mandalay
(B/L/D)
Morning, Sightseeing around Mandalay. Evening excursion to the
former capital of INWA, reached by a short boat trip. Continue
to SAGAING HILLS, a retreat for Buddhist devotees, for sunset.
Dinner and overnight in Mandalay. |

Mandalay - Mingun - Maymyo (B/L/D)
Early morning, boat excursion ( 1 hrs) up the AYEYARWADDY RIVER
to MINGUN. After lunch, drive (80Km, two hours drive) on a
scenic route to a cool hill station of PYINOOLWIN with its
lovely lake, waterfalls, botanical garden and colonial era
buildings. Dinner and overnight in Pyinoolwin. |

Maymyo - Mandalay (car) (B/L/D)
Be taken to the local market by the famous horse-drawn carriages
(if available) and proceed to PEIK KHYIN MYAUNG CAVES, since
ancient times a Buddhist shrine. After lunch, return to Mandalay.
Dinner and overnight in Mandalay. |

Mandalay - Heho - Pindaya (B/L/D)
Transfer to airport for domestic flight to HEHO. Upon arrival,
drive to PINDAYA (60Km - one and half hour) . visit the unique
PINDAYA CAVES with thousands of Buddha images placed there by
pilgrims over many centuries. Dinner and overnight in Pindaya. |

Mandalay - Heho - Pindaya (B/L/D) |

Transfer to airport for
domestic flight to HEHO. Upon arrival, drive to PINDAYA (60Km -
one and half hour) . visit the unique PINDAYA CAVES with
thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many
centuries. Dinner and overnight in Pindaya. Pindaya- Inle lake
(B/L/D) Scenic drive to NYAUNG SHWE( 90km- 2 ½ hours ) and
continue by boat to your hotel. Following lunch an excursion on
Inle Lake will include sights of the famous leg rowers, typical
floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life.
Visit of a village house and watch handloom weaving. A further
visit is made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA. Dinner and overnight on
the lake with superb sunset views. |

14 |
Inle lake- Heho- Yangon (B/L/D)
Excursion by boat to the western shore of Inle Lake to visit the
INN DEIN PAGODA complex, found after following a stair path
lined up with magnificent columns. After lunch transfer by road
to Heho Airport for domestic flight to MANDALAY. Upon arrival,
transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight. |

Yangon (B/-/-)
Travelers having arrived mid day on Day 01 will transfer to
Yangon International Airport for departure. For those having
arrived during afternoon, a morning of sightseeing will include
the city highlights as shown in Day 01 of itinerary. Transfer to
Yangon International Airport for departure. |
